Mindful Self Compassion

Learn self-compassion approaches that can equip you to respond to difficulties in your life with kindness, care and understanding. Please note, no mindfulness or meditation experience is required to participate in any of the sessions.

 

Virtual drop-in sessions in Zoom

Whether you are new to self-compassion or would like to practice in a community, we will be holding monthly virtual sessions providing participants with an opportunity to connect and explore how we can bring self-compassion into our daily lives.
Date: Saturdays 11th Nov / 10th Jan / 17th Feb / 23rd Mar / 20th Apr between 9.30-10.15am
Cost: a recommended donation of £8/£10/£12 per session

Virtual Mindful Self Compassion* (’MSC’) 8-week course in Zoom

This course is for individuals who are relatively new to MSC or who would like a refresher and is run on a weekly basis over 8 weeks with a virtual silent retreat also included.
Date: Starting 12th January 2024 through to 8th March 2024 (dates and timings to be confirmed).
Cost: £295-350

If you would like to register for the upcoming 8-week MSC programme, please complete both Google forms below. Once completed, please email Rebecca at rebecca@wisesherpa.co.uk to register your interest in participating. We will then review the forms and come back to you in case of questions and to confirm your participation. Payment will be due once participation is confirmed by us and final participant information will be shared with you in due course.

In-person sessions

With the approach of the Holiday Season, and all that it brings, we will be offering a small group in-person session at the Sunflower Centre, Brockley. This will be a chance to spend time together in practice, and to connect or reconnect with our inner compassionate voice as we move into the festive period. We have a limited number of spaces left for this session!
Date: Saturday 16th December 11am-1.30pm
Cost: a recommended donation of £45/£55/£65 for the session

We are also planning some Saturday sessions for summer 2024 at the inspiring Sydenham Garden
Date: Saturday 18 May and 22 June 2024 10.30am-4pm
Cost: tbd (but likely to be £79/£99/£119 excl VAT per session depending on what you feel able to pay).

Teachers

A little bit more about Jane and I as teachers. We both trained together in the UK and we will be co-facilitating. We are very excited to continue collaborating together on this journey!

Rebecca HillRebecca is the founder of her business Wise Sherpa. With a background in large organizational consulting, she now collaborates with a range of individuals and organisations as a coach and consultant. She discovered MSC over 5 years ago when she was suffering from burnout and has been engaged with it consistently since then.

 

 

 

Jane has been practising mindfulness meditation for over 20 years. She teaches the 8 Week Courses Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) including the specialist course MBCT for Cancer. She has taught these courses at a retreat centre;  a cancer charity and for a counselling organisation. She is passionate about self-compassion and in particular how it can help us in our daily life.
